The Lutheran Church In Papua New Guinea: The First Hundred Years (1886-1986) - Wagner, Herwig & Reiner, Hermann
In the history of Papua New Guinea, the story of Lutheran missions and the Lutheran Church holds a significant and honoured place. From small beginnings, despite isolation, disease, death, war, and human weakness, the Miti - the Gospel of life and salvation in Jesus Christ - triumphed over barriers of terrain, tribe, language, and culture. God has blessed 100 years of Gospel preaching, teaching, and living by many New Guinean and expatriate Christians with a rich harvest. Through this anniversary volume, you can share in the weal and woe of this history, and appreciate the challenge facing the church as the second century begins.
